Beach Day then Red, White, and Blues Festival
Sunday, November 14th
I went to the beach with Jon, Mark, Laura, and Abby. We laid our towels near the rock pools at Cronulla and dove in a few times because it was so very hot. We stayed at the beach for a couple of hours before we walked back to Dunningham Park where the Wine Festival was being held. There were so many people but not so many that it was annoying to walk around or find a place to sit.
We did a loop looking at the different Winery and food tents and found a great place to sit under some shade. It was also a great location because our friends could find us easily. I decided on a yummy Thai veggie noodle dish. After a few minutes of eating I discovered a HUGE green caterpillar. Gross and awkward. My friends Rowdy and Alex got the same thing but I didn't tell them about discovery until they had finished eating.
Abby and Laura bought a cup and tickets. It was $15 for the souvenir glass and 5 tasting tickets. They bought some yummy strawberry daiquiris with their tickets and Abby bought a couple of bottles of white wine.
I walked around a bit taking pictured and I interviewed some of my friends. Jon and Mark stood and listened to Dead Letter Chorus. They are a local band from Cronulla.
A few more of our friends came down to the festival. They went by the bottle shop on the way and got a few beers to drink at the park.
I love Cronulla Beach and the fact that there is always something fun going on for the whole family on the weekends. It is the best place to live!
This is a clip of some pictures and an interview I did.
